BRAC Bank has launched a specially designed personal loan product called Dishari for teachers working across Bangladesh, a press release said.
Teachers across the country often face difficulties in accessing funding from financial institutions, mainly because there is no tailor-made funding solution for them.
With this unsecured personal loan facility, teachers can now borrow a maximum of Tk 20 lakh with a term of up to five years at competitive interest rates and the fastest processing time to meet urgent financial needs.
Teachers in public, private, MPO schools, colleges and universities, and English speaking schools listed by BRAC Bank with a minimum monthly income of Tk 17,000 can apply for this loan.
Regarding the introduction of the program, BRAC Bank Retail Banking Director Md Mahiul Islam said, âWe believe this is a noble initiative for those engaged in the noblest profession. The contribution of our teachers to the development of human resources is unmatched, because they allow us to have a greater intellectual capacity which finally contributes to national development. ‘
âHowever, our teachers often face barriers in accessing funding. Our bank is driven by values ââand that is why we have thought of our teachers when designing this product, âhe added.
Teachers interested in this product are advised to visit the nearest BRAC bank branch or call the bank’s call center on 16221 or visit the bank’s website. – New Age
